Short Sharp Shock is a digest devoted to publishing novellas (three per issue by different authors). We welcome popular fiction – writers who aspire to future mass market paperback success – accessible literary but also genre. We pay $20 and a comp copy for one-year exclusive print rights. New Writing Magazine Seeks Submissions
The Writer’s Haven Magazine is calling for submissions. The site is due to be up and running by May 1st.

How-to’s: 250 – 1500 words. How To Write A Query Letter, Dealing With Literary Agents, How To Choose the Literary Agent That’s Right For You, How To Overcome Rejection, How To Write For Magazines, etc. This is just a partial list of the ‘how to’ articles we need each month.

Other ideas: Writer’s Block, Dealing With an Editor, Manuscript Formatting…Email your best work. Payment is in copies: 5 copies and a credible byline. Include a brief writers bio with your article. We need every kind of how-to for beginning poets and writers. Pre-published material acceptable.

    Don’t want to put anyone off, but I think would be writers should no that I personally I had bad experience writing for bite me who republished work in a book format without payment, permission or credit.
