As an aside, a Literary Agent that I follow on Twitter recently mentioned that her agency has already processed 20,000 queries this year. I mention this, because that level of insanity is enough to give anyone pause about the workloads of the people we approach about our work. They deserve a little patience from us, no matter how excited/anxious/terrified we are about showing our work to “professionals”.
