Hi! Before I start my regular blog, I figured I should write an introduction blog post about me, why I love writing and experience in writing over the years.
My name is Miranda. I am currently attending Northern Arizona University where I study Journalism/Political Science and Hotel and Restaurant Management. I will be graduating with my B.S. this year and looking forward to moving to more exciting things and opportunities in my post-graduate life.
I have been writing for as long as I can remember. However, my interest in the activity really blossomed in high school, when I discovered journalism. I was a part of my high school newspaper for three years and was also the co-Editor-and-Chief my senior year of high school. During high school, I also had an short essay, The Girl Who Tempts, published in an anthology, Celebrating What is Important to Me, and won a poetry contest. In 2007-2008 I was named Arizona State Best High School Journalist of the year by the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association.
Since, high school I have had numerous freelance articles published. I was also a report for my university’s newspaper, The Lumberjack. I have been fortunate enough to have numerous Public Relations internships. Additionally, I have been a writing intern for Alltrips.com. During this internship I wrote ten travel based blogs and copy for landing pages in the Flagstaff section of the website. Most recently, I was an Editorial Intern at Green Living AZ Magazine. During this internship I wrote three articles, which were published in the magazine, and assisted with gathering product samples and writing copy for monthly product features in the magazine.
Overall, I love writing. While my background is in non-fiction writing and journalism, I am beginning to find a passion and energy for creative writing. I am looking forward to blogging on this site and developing innovative topics based on my experiences.

Hi Marianda,
Welcome! We’re looking forward to learning more about you and your projects. Travel articles are a great beginning, or find something interesting you came across while traveling, and expand on it. I wrote an opinion column for a local paper for three years and just wrote about my experience as a mom. I think blogging is close to the weekly column idea, so come aboard!
Hi Miranda. I look forward to reading your posts.
Hi Miranda,
