I’m excited to announce my fifth Real Estate Diva Mystery is now published! I tried a program called Pubslush, which is a crowd sourcing/Kick starter idea for books, but since I am not an expert at relentless promotion, the book languished in that environment and I needed to take it back into my own hands and publish it myself. Which, by the way, is just fine with me.
Trash Out features the perfect wedding in the wine country. But the grand event may end less like a romantic comedy and more like a slasher flick. Who is stalking the bride? How did Ben’s former Friend With Benefits turn into Injured With Repercussions? And why must Allison wear 90 pounds of red tulle during the hottest season of the year?
While innocent bystanders fall like flies, Allison copes with selling her house in Sonoma County, scrambling to finance the shower from hell, and wondering if the person responsible for the last murder can be hired to take out her ex-boyfriend before her own nuptials.
I wanted to bring Carrie and Allison up to the most reasonable conclusion, their own weddings. I love the wine country and I am a big fan of the Dry Creek Valley, which is where the book takes place. Of course Allison is working on fixing up her new house in Claim Jump which is funny because when I wrote this book, it was all about Allison improving a house in the Sierra Foothills. A year after the book was finished, we bought a second home in, yes, the Sierra Foothills, specifically, Nevada City, the inspiration for Claim Jump. How odd that fact followed fiction. I also wrote that Allison would marry in Las Vegas, and there is a small chance that we may renew our wedding vows at a trade show in Vegas.
I need to be more careful about what I write!
This may be the last in the series that features Allison, but I noticed she appears in my next book – which I’m creating right now!
