Dawn Copeman decided to become a writer in November 2004 when she signed up to do a Writer's Bureau Course. By January 2005 she had sold her first article and by March 2005 she had become a columnist and contributing editor at http://www.timetravel-britain.com

In January 2006 she became managing editor at http://www.writing-world.com where she is currently the newsletter editor and writes the Inquiring Writer column. Hello! My name is Damien and I'm NOT a writer! Well I'd like to be but you have to start somewhere right? My background is based in electronics servicing and currently I am a self employed Audio Visual Technician.

I have a passion for forums and web design and I came across this website whilst researching for tips on writing a short story. I had entered a competition that had certain requirements for the short story and hit the web for advice. I signed up for the forums but then received an email a couple of weeks later saying that Dawn was closing the site down. I couldnt let such a great resource disappear, so I promptly emailed her offering to take it over and become house keeper.

After much blood, sweat and tears we have recreated Newbie Writers and the goal is the make this website one of THE best writers resources on the internet.
