Hang in there! I think it is great that you can share your feelings on rejection to encourage new writers who feel that way too. I nearly gave up when I started with CC too (and I won’t tell you how many rejections I have got in total from that site),

Perserverance does pay off and you will succeed. You are definitely a good writer and write enjoyable blogs that I personally love reading. Writing articles is just a different style of writing that takes a bit of getting used to. Like everything in life – if it is not challenging, we don’t want it! If you really want to, you can overcome any challenge and succeed.

I’ve given Kangaroo Land a deadline of April 30 for my final check and then will send it out for the first time, gulp! I do get past and present tense muddled tho.

I find it hard finding time to write and I don’t have kids! I travel 45mins to and from work so that tires me. So I try to grab time pre work and weekend mornings (I’m a morning writer!)

I am quite new reading this blog, an unpublished writer other than in our local paper and my own sites. Your down-to-earth frankness shows writing is not easy but once accomplished so well worth having reached that pinnacle. Thank you for this site and keep us posted whether things come up roses or weeds. Maybe when we pull the weeds, the roots will get a little additional necessary room that will help the roses bloom more profusely.

Thanks for sharing yashuasgirl, it’s good to get things off your chest and you are not alone in feeling like this. Often I come up with an idea for an article and then a short while later see that someone has got there before me. Thankfully though I’ve not usually got around to writing it – although probably should have! Don’t stop though, keep submitting and find another market for your work ……
